Jul. 21st, 2022 01:08 pmI am an expert at playing join the dots. Alas, it is often not in the way you want, I know, it's not in the way anyone wants—I've lost track of the amount of people I've scared off who have messaged me asking if I take "requests"—but I like playing join the dots, nonetheless... even if I am developing something of a reputation as the monkey's paw of prompts and commissions. This is probably the reason why so many of my submissions for
sunshine_challenge seem so tenuous, but here we are, day six, and needs must that I explain how my brain works.
I got stuck on the idea of aquamarine being associated with Michiru. I love Michiru, I love all of the Outer Senshi, and whilst thinking of what I could write for her that would explicitly be about aquamarine, instead my brain became fixated on the fact that we never really learn how either Michiru or Haruka become Sailor Scouts, but we know that Setsuna is canonically the daughter of Chronos, and that is when I began to join the dots with this stupid notion of a friendly bet between Neptune and Mercury.
Possibly what no one wants is a timeline for a shared universe including both the works of Homer and Sailor Moon, but that's what you get this morning. Enjoy!

Date: 2022-07-21 06:20 pm (UTC)ever since Mercury had gone north, ever since he had lost his right eye, he had been different in a way that did not sit well with Neptune - *flails* Excellent, really.
Also, I had to look up both rampallian and fustilarian, haha, and I'm delighted I learned something new. XD

Date: 2022-07-21 06:32 pm (UTC)Ah! Thank you for continuing to appreciate my efforts to make the shared Greek/Roman/Norse universe happen in the most ridiculous of ways.
